Removed from the list

I have seen today that the buildings at the factory have been officially removed from the Larimer County Meth Structures website. See link http://www.co.larimer.co.us/sheriff/methstructures.htm
It's about time!

Some Clarification

I've heard several comments on why Loveland cops are taking the brunt of the anger from me and others angry about the situation. It was a Loveland detective who was heading this particular case. It was a Loveland cop who used a meth head narc, it was a Loveland cop who found the "coffee filter" or stained napkin or whatever the papers are saying it was they found in the dumpster. This was instigated by the Loveland PD. And of course, why wouldn't the other parties involved in the Drug Task Force believe him? After all, he should know what he's doing...well we all know better now. So yes, as far as I'm concerned, the Loveland PD or more specifically the detective in charge deserves the brunt of the anger. I have had the mispleasure of meeting him (the detective) and hope I never do again. It scares me that we allow people like him to have that kind of power!

So be careful out there, if you use sugar, or coffee filters, or napkins, you too could be the target of the next bust...(okay, that's a little immature of me...but damn it, its as ridiculus as the bust)

It really makes me angry that they (the Detective and prosecutor) are still threatening to possibly file "the same, or different charges" in the future. They just can't even believe they could be soooooo wrong. WELL, YOU WERE. Own it. Rather then agonizing over their bruised egos....they should be apologizing...but of course they are not. Jeremy has already been proven innocent and they will find nothing else. Sure they have chemicals from the sugar factory and don't know what they are, but as Jim stated, they have been there since at least 1989 and probably for many, many years before that. The Sugar Factory had a chemistry lab...duh...so of course it "Looked like a lab". It was a lab....It just wasn't a homemade METH lab. It was a professional lab used for testing and processing sugar. Home made meth labs don't have multiple built in sinks, gas lines for burners and other well know lab equipment. Well you know what, the truth is out now...and try as they may, they won't be finding anything illegal going on anywhere. Here again, they are wasting taxpayer money by leaving this case open and will probably further harass Jeremy and the owners in the area.

I say BACK OFF. You were wrong. Apologize and let that family have some peace...god knows they deserve it!

CONGRATS to Jeremy and his family...The worst is finally over!

Editorial from Bruce Fishburn

Below is the editorial written by Bruce Fishburn to the Reporter Herald:

Help Myers get back on feet after wrongful arrest

To the editor:
This letter is in reference to the “great meth lab bust” at the former sugar factory and the wrongful arrest of Jeremy Myers. I didn’t take time to write this in the beginning, and I should have.

I have known Jeremy Myers for a number of years. In his excavating business, he has worked for me and the company I work for. I have referred him to others on many projects. His work is professional. His honesty is grand. It broke my heart to learn he was arrested for a crime I knew he was above ever committing. He has far too much integrity to be involved with drugs.

Jeremy employed himself operating a backhoe. His business was young but growing. He was in the midst of expansion to better serve his customers. Then his home was invaded by police, beginning this nightmare. His business has suffered because of this bad publicity. Jeremy has had to sell his equipment to fund his plea for innocence. I read now on the front page of the Nov. 6 newspaper that there is no evidence against him. Imagine that.

If you know Jeremy, show your support. Recommend his service, his employment. If you need an excellent backhoe operator, Jeremy is your man. Since he’s lost his home, you’ll have to contact him through his father, Jim Myers, at [number omitted for security reasons.]

(If you would like to get in touch with Jeremy please give me your contact information and I will make sure he gets it. ~Sarah)

Some More Points

Point 1
Bruce Fishburn, an avid supporter of Jeremy and his plight, posted a link yesterday in his comment to a city document showing the deception of the city and county. There is a story behind that, but the stories not mine to tell...although it will be told in due time. Keep an eye on the following website as it will be updated in the upcoming months. http://www.greatwesternsalvage.com/. The link provided by Bruce was just one example of what the city has tried to pull with this particular property...and the catcher is that this particular incident was not even close to the worst the city has done in regards to the property. Again, a story that will be told, but not by me. Bruce submitted an editorial that was printed in the Loveland Reporter Herald on 11-8-07. It was a great editorial and if you have the chance to read it, please do. Bruce - I could re post it here if you would like to help get your word out more.

Point 2
There has been alot of assumptions made about the factory due to the keep out signs and owners and occupants running people off. I've found a perfect example for you of why this has been necessary and why it is such a problem. See the following link. http://www.uer.ca/forum_showthread.asp?fid=3&threadid=49135 This group is actually a group of people around the world who get their kicks off of breaking into private property for what they call "Urban Exploration". Although this group claims they don't steal, they mention in several of there posts of people being arrested for burglary. Anyways, these types of things are what force the owners to take the steps they have. The cops are anything but helpful so they've had to take care of it on their own. These people belong in jail. I wouldn't go to their house when they were gone, just to look around. They should show the same respect to other peoples property. Here is another link to somebody else doing it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNX0myJg5lU. This was not the Loveland Sugar Factory but a similar issue. I have also seen people bragging about breaking in on myspace.com so I'll keep an eye on that and post any of those I find as well.
